The 13th edition of the international fair "LAAD 2023, Defense and Security", the most important defense and security fair in Latin America, was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from April 11 to 14, 2023.
EXO was present at the LAAD fair in Brazil, in the Argentine Pavilion, with specific products and services for this industry.
Among other products, EXO presented the EMU, CDM and simulators for the defense industry.

EXO Solutions at the LAAD 2023 trade fair
Telemedicine Solution EXO Mobile Diagnostics Center
Among the technological solutions presented by EXO was the Mobile Diagnostic Center (CDM), a solution developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National University of Rosario (UNR), which allows real-time patient monitoring and remote medical inter-consultation.
The CDM allows videoconferencing and real-time sharing of patient parameters with a specialist.
EXO's portable device, Mobile Diagnostic Center (MDC), is capable of sharing in real time four important patient parameters: 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECG), noninvasive blood pressure measurement (NIBP), blood oxygen saturation monitoring (oximetry) and surface temperature. This system allows both face-to-face and remote observation, either synchronously by video call or asynchronously by instantaneous sending of the information online.
Moreover, the device has an intuitive interface, allowing non-specialists to use it and share its screen with trained professionals for real-time assistance. In addition, the device can also be used to perform active patient searches and preventive actions, as well as to assist patients in emergencies or during transfers.
Solar energy storage and generation unit for communication systems
Among other solutions, EXO presented the UME, a unit developed jointly with the Argentine Army to power a communication system with solar energy. It is a unit that captures and stores solar energy in a transportable module mounted on a semi-trailer or trailer. This energy can be used by military or medical units both day and night, as well as by health modules and is easily deployed in the field.

Heavy load handling and pulling simulators
During the LAAD 2023 fair, the framework agreement between EXO and Media.Lab, signed at the end of March 2023, which promotes the large-scale production of different simulators for use, among other customers, by the Argentine Army, was announced. The simulators, for heavy machinery handling and shooting, are useful for civilian use as well as for all the armed forces, opening the possibility of export.
